Thank you to everyone for making the Sustrans big walk and wheel 2023 such a huge success!

4th Apr 2023

Over the past two weeks we have had a great time as a school partaking in a wide range of activities related to the Sustrans big walk and wheel. From scooting and cycling around the turning circle to blinging our bikes and scooters, hosting assembly and walking together as a whole school from Ballymena North we have enjoyed the benefits of travelling actively in lots of fun and enjoyable ways. I am delighted to announce that we achieved third place overall in Northern Ireland this year and we also came top in our region. This would not be possible without the whole school community becoming involved and so I wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone for the tremendous efforts made. I would like to congratulate all of the children involved individually and say a special well done also to those children who won prizes for blinging their bike and scooter and also to P3/4O who won the overall homework pass prize for the highest number of collective journeys. Over the summer term I encourage everyone to continue to travel actively to school as much as possible especially with the brighter days and hopefully nicer weather approaching and we will also hosting more events in school. Well done to everyone! I hope you all have a lovely Easter break, Mrs Horan.
