Term 3 Update

22nd Apr 2020

Dear Primary 3,

I hope you are all still keeping well and that you had a lovely Easter with your families and ate loads of yummy eggs. Sienna thoroughly enjoyed her first experience of chocolate. She's almost as big a fan of chocolate as her mummy is! Isn't all of this sunshine amazing! We have been enjoying lots of fun with chalk in the garden and we go for long walks by the river/lough each day. Sienna just loves water so we bought her a water tray. I have also learnt how to make a sponge cake and have been practising knitting whilst we have been off. I would love to hear what you have been up to? Don't forget to send me a wee email when you get the chance to the school email account. I would also like to say a big thank you to Adam for your happy Easter picture, it made my day! Now that it is the start of term 3 please do try to continue to do a little bit of your work pack when you get the time alongside all the other fun things I've suggested before. Don't forget also to keep reading. Our new topic for this term would have been minibeasts, so maybe during this sunny weather you could go out and have a minibeast hunt and make a chart of how many of each insect you can see or find. Maybe you could make a minibeast picture or a junk 3D model. Don't forget there is lots of fun websites, i.e. bbc bitesize if you search minibeasts including lots of stuff on Twinkl to download. I'm sure you will have heard about Captain Tom Moore who has raised 27 million pounds for our NHS walking lengths pf his garden and as it is his 100th birthday on the 30th April lots of children are making him birthday cards. If you wish to join then you can download one of four cards to colour on the Post Office website, or you can make your own and send it to Captain Tom Moore, C/o Marston Mortaine Post Office, 67 Bedford Road, Marston Mortaine, Bedford, MK43 OLA.

I will continue to keep in touch with you over the coming weeks. In the meantime please continue to make the most of our glorious weather and don't forget to send some pictures or an email of what you have all been up to.

Lots of love, missing you always from Mrs Horan.
