September- settling in!

23rd Sep 2021

🎈Welcome to our P5F Incredibles settling into September film!🎈

We have moved into KS 2. We are now up the other end of the corridor of our wonderful new school building! We have been learning how to be more independent, work in teams, be mindful of one another and build our confidence.

We have been establishing classroom rules and boundaries, developing new friendships with new classmates, learning the importance of having a go- regardless of outcome, how to be safe online, exploring websites set by Mrs Fulton, note taking, how to study and learn, how to help our brain while we calculate, process, read, and solve problems. We have learned all about our Braidside Safety Net as well as our online safety rules BIPNS (info to follow on this). It has been a very busy month, but we are smashing it!  Mrs Fulton is very proud of all of us!

Our topics for this term are Mighty Me and Journeys in TWAU. We have also begun our 40th Anniversary celebrations of Integrated Education and learning about how it all started. We won prizes and extra play from Ms McAuley for a competition she set us in her online school assembly!

We are learning how to use TEAMS independently. We are learning about First Aid and things we can do to help people in minor and major injury situations.

Well-being Wednesdays are a highlight mid week, where we have a different style of day each week that promotes good mental health and well being. We have baked bread, had a welcome brekky, had Doctor Bike to school, created 40 designs, learned our first pieces of Sign Language - and we look forward to what the rest of the year has in store!

Homework begins in October and Mrs Fulton will send home an information pack for our parents to keep them informed as to what is required and what our weekly routine of homework will be. Some of this will be on TEAMS and some will be hand written.

Until then, we hope you enjoy our September Welcome Film as much as we have enjoyed September!
