Ready, steady, go! Bike to school week is back!

9th Sep 2021

Hello everyone and welcome back to another year of school fun and active travelling adventures! We are kicking off our activities this year with a dedicated week of biking to school starting on Monday 20th September to Friday 24th September. Cycling to school is a great way to start your day and help yourself to feel energised, healthy, refreshed and ready to learn. It is also a great way to help protect the environment whilst also reducing traffic congestion and air pollution so dust off those helmets and get those tires pumped up and enjoy travelling to school in the best way possible not just for bike to school week but also throughout the year if and when you can! Please also note that P.5-7 classes  can also avail of a free Dr Bike check on Wednesday 22nd September so please remember to bring your bikes and any issues you have on that day to see if our Sustrans officer Johnny can be of any assistance in helping you to fix your bike. Happy cycling everyone, have fun! Best wishes and looking forward to a fun filled year, Mrs Horan (Active travel coordinator).
