P7Y Week 8

8th Jun 2020

Hi everyone. I am so happy that all of you got good news about your next schools. This is a super exciting time for you all, and if you were in school, we would be doing lots of what we call 'transition' work right now. In your original folder of work that went home with you in March, there was a little booklet called, 'I'm moving school'... some of it is fairly simple... but there are some lovely activities in there, like looking at school timetables... and finding out about your school crest and motto. There are also some great hints to get you prepared before September... it suggests taking the journey that you will walk, to find out how long it takes, or finding out about how often buses run etc... Enjoy this time... and ask lots of questions... try not to stress too much about the changes ahead... instead EMBRACE them... this is your time! The world is your oyster as they say! Mrs McAuley has added news about a Webinar especially for P7s... this could be well worth a look... so if you are interested, follow the instructions on the homepage.

Bear with me this morning... I am having some technological difficulties! I'm attaching some verb work... prefixes, suffixes and a revision page... I am about to go and find another printer to see if I can get your numeracy uploaded... where is Hubert when i need him?

Thank you to everyone who has sent in their piece for the Leavers Book. You have done a great job... unfortunately there are a few people who still haven't given me anything to work with... Teagan, Reece, Dylan, Kadeem... if any of the rest of you are in touch with these 4, please let them know that their time is running out to put their own piece in.

I hope you are all beginning to see some signs of things improving and returning to a little bit of normality... but remember that we all have a responsibility to continue to keep up with our hand washing and social distancing. Take care everyone. (I'm off to try putting on your numeracy for you)

Love, Mrs Young xx
