P7 1st June Update
Hi everyone.
I hope you are all well and enjoying the beautiful weather. Today is 1st June and officially the first day of summer...let's hope the good weather continues... It really has made the last few months so much easier to cope with! I managed to get my first visit to the beach on Friday night. There were very few people there and it was a gorgeous evening... of course I had to be a complete eejit and run down the sandhills... and managed to fall flat on my face (I think a few of you may have actually seen video evidence of this!!!) Of course, rather than help, my lovely family couldn't do anything but laugh... can't really say I blame them though!!! May have to send it to You've Been Framed!
Did any of you watch the shuttle launch on Saturday night? It was brilliant to watch... just very unfortunate that our skies were too bright to see it as it passed over us. I think people in the South of England had better luck, simply because it gets a bit darker, a bit earlier.
So, this week, you have access, as always, to New Wave Maths & Literacy. I have also put on a couple of revision sheets on using commas for additional clauses... don't be put off by the word parenthesis... it just means an extra piece of information often inside brackets or commas.
Thank you to everyone who has sent pictures and/or pieces of writing for the Leavers Book. I would really like all of these in by the end of this week, as there's a lot of work involved with putting this book together. One person I haven't been able to contact is Reece... so if any of you can contact him, please tell him what needs to be done for me.
I also got a great piece of work on H&M and their Shop Conscious slogan last week. Well done Daniel!!!
So, this Thursday is a big day for you all. You will, after a ridiculously long wait, find out what school you are heading to in September. I hope that you all get the news you are hoping for... but... please remember, if you don't get the school you hoped for, it isn't the end of the world... I promise! I didn't get accepted at my first choice of school... and you know what? It was the best thing that could have happened to me... turned out that the school I went to was amazing and I loved every moment of it!
Loving all the emails I am getting from you all... even got a tik tok from Maja this week... you are all keeping me smiling. Miss you all dreadfully. Talk soon, Mrs Young xx
PS I know that Catherine misses you all too.
