P6O Writing task

Good morning P6. Hope you're all keeping well and staying at home. The weather isn't as nice this week so you are probably spending more time indoors and might be bored. So here is a writing task for you. I love this picture, I'd love to be Alice as she flies over all the fields and treetops and houses! Imagine all the things you could see, all the places you could go (especially now when we can't go anywhere!).

The image comes from a website Pobble365 which has images for every day of the year as well as a range of different writing tasks that you can do. Normally we would spend ages talking about the picture in the classroom and then do a few different bits of writing. Here are some ideas for you to try:

*list everything you can see in the image

*continue the story that was started

*look at the suggested activities and try 1 or 2, like the 'sick' sentences (I like this activity)

*Draw the hot air balloon - spend some time finding out a hot air balloon works too!
