P5M notes for Friday, 19th March

18th Mar 2021

Friday, 19th March  2021

Hi boys and girls, I hope this will be the last time I ever have to post your class work on line 🤞 I will do our daily catch up tomorrow at 11.30am and hopefully Elaine, will join us too.  It would be lovely to see as many of you as is possible tomorrow before we start back to school on Monday.

Starting back to school on  Monday  -

I’m sure for many of you, you are very excited about getting back to school, I know I am.  We have been off a long time ….. the last time most of us were together was the week beginning Monday, 14thDecember 🙈.  At the same time, I’m sure some of you are feeling a wee bit anxious or worried about starting back so I want to reassure all of you that you have nothing to worry about.  Next week, we will take things slowly.  We will do some Numeracy and Literacy and some art!! Our classroom is full of your wonderful winter artwork so we need to get that down and get up some nice bright spring artwork instead so you’ll be quite busy every afternoon doing arts and crafts.  I also want to do a wee bit of class RE on Monday from 2pm-3pm.  At tomorrow’s catch up I’ll go through all the things that you’ll need to bring to school with you on Monday.  If you have fallen behind with some of your work, please don’t worry.  I don’t want you worrying all weekend about pieces of work you haven’t completed.  I want for you to relax and enjoy your weekend at home with your family.  Tomorrow after our catch up I’ll post a list of the things you will need on Monday onto Teams and the school website.

Our plan for Friday, 19th March is as follows

Session 1 – Numeracy

Mental Maths – Pg 12  from my Mental Maths Book 1

Spellings and Tables Test ( 3 times tables)

Topic maths – Since we are back to school on Monday I don’t plan to do any Topic Maths on Friday. Instead I would like for you to use this time getting your pack ready to return to school on Monday.  I’ll post a list of everything you’ll need to return after our catch up at 11.30am

Session 2 – Integrated Education Week.

Creative Work for Integrated Week.

‘We are each unique and beautiful, but together, we are a masterpiece.”

For Integrated Week I would love if you could draw around your hand and then decorate it using bright colours.  Keep your art work safe and bring it to school on Monday as I would like to use if for a display for Integrated Week.  I will post a picture of how it will look.

Weekly catch up will be at 11.30am …… I hope to see you then 😊
