Hi boys and girls,

Thank you for sending me the photos and videos of your hovercrafts. I was unable to upload the videos onto the school website but I could upload the photos. 

Our plan for Wednesday, 10th March is as follows

Session 1 – Numeracy

New Waves Mental Maths – Pg 17 (Wed).  I will post the answers on Monday afternoon.

Multiplying by 4 interactive game. Play any of the games to practise your 4 times tables.

Mental Maths strategy – double the 2 times tables to work out the 4 times tables.  Watch the YouTube video then complete the quiz

Subtracting HTU’s sheet 3 with mixed exchanging – (complete sheet and hand in) (Assignment) Watch out for the ones that don’t need for you to exchange.

Session 2 – Literacy.

Spellings – more ea words.  Complete spelling list and cryptograms. 

Grammar – Abstract Nouns. Continuing on from our work on Tuesday.  Watch the video and complete the sheet.

Guided Reading – I will be doing live lessons today.  I’ve written your reading times down below. 

Tinmen and Scarecrows –  Pg 12-18 and workbook Pg 11 (Stuff and Nonsense Book @ 10.00am

Lions – Pg 2- 8 and workbook pages 11 (Through the years) @ 10.45am

The Munchkins – Pg 23-28 and workbook page 10 (Animals Book) @ 11.30am

The Flying Monkeys – Pg 28-32 workbook pg11 (Balloons Book) @ 12 noon

Session 3 – British Science Week and Well Being Wednesday

I would love for you to involve your family members in your science experiment tomorrow.  You have complete freedom to pick any experiment you would like to try out.  I made ice cream in a bag with Harry and then I did the same experiment with the Key Worker’s children on Tuesday.  It was great fun, easy to do and more importantly you get to eat the ice cream once you have made it 😋 

Tomorrow I plan to do the soap experiment with Harry.  I’ll send you the link for this.  The link for all the experiments can be found on the school website. 

So for Well Being Wednesday, grab your family members and have fun experimenting.
