Our plan for Tuesday, 9th March is as follows

Session 1 – Numeracy

New Waves Mental Maths – Pg 16 (Tues). I will post the answers on Monday afternoon.

Multiplying by 4 interactive game. Play any of the games to practise your 4 times tables.

Mental Maths strategy – Using the 5 times tables to work out the answers for the 4 times tables. Complete quiz

Subtracting HTU’s sheet 2 with mixed exchanging – (complete sheet and hand in) (Assignment) Watch out for the ones that don’t need for you to exchange.

Session 2 – Literacy.

Spellings – more ea words. Complete spelling list and crossword.

Grammar – Abstract Nouns. Today we will find out the difference between an abstract noun and a concrete noun. Watch the video and complete the sheet.

Guided Reading – I won’t do any live lessons on Tuesday, as I will be working with the key worker’s children. These are your reading pages for Tuesday.

Session 3 – British Science Week – Experimenting with Paper.

British Science Week activity 2 – experimenting with paper. I would like for you to try to make a paper hovercraft as this will tie in with our topic on Journeys. I will send you a link for this. Once you have mastered how to make one I would like for you to experiment with different sizes of paper or different materials

Investigate –

  • Which one drives the straightest
  • Which one goes the fastest
  • Which one takes the most breaths to get moving!
