P5M Activities for Thursday, 13th January

Hi boys and girls,

This will be our outline of activities for Thursday.  All this information has been posted onto TEAMS too.

Session 1

Numeracy

  • New Waves Maths - Pg 3 (Thursday Section) - You don't need to send this to me as I will post the answers onto TEAMS for you to mark your own work.
  • Number task - see sheets below for you to download.  I have posted 2 worksheets on HTU's to reinforce the work we have been doing from our Heinemann 4 workbook.  I would like for you to send this work to me today.

Session 2 - Literacy

  • Handwriting sheet 48
  • Spellings - complete Thursday column and cryptogram sheet.  Please send me a copy of your completed spelling sheet for the week.
  • Grammar - Next page on homophones from our grammar booklet.  Please send me a copy of this sheet for me to check.
  • Reading - you don't need to do any work from your workbooks just yet.  We will start onto our workbooks next week.

Session 3

  • TWAU- Mrs Armitage on Wheels.  Click on the YouTube link.  This will take you to a video where you will hear someone reading the story Mrs Armitage on Wheels.  Throughout the story Mrs Armitage continually add items to her bike.  When you have listened to the story I want you to use the worksheet in your pack called My Bike Invention and then I would like for you to design your own bike.  Be creative and have fun.  Could you send me a photo of your finished work please.  Could you please glue this sheet into your TWAU book when you have finished.  Thank you

  • PE - Time for exercising.  Turn off all your devices and keep fit.  If the weather is good go for a walk, ride your bike, go outside and play, kick a football.  If the weather is awful do some exercises in your house.  You can jog on the spot, skip, jump do star jumps.  Think back to the day we did circuits for PE and everyone was exhausted but had so much fun? Why don't you set up circuits in your house and get your parents to join in too.
