Hi boys and girls,

Thank you for sending me the photos and videos of your Well Being Wednesday experiments.  I loved seeing such a variety of experiments. If you have any videos could you email them to me so that I can share them on the school website.  

Our plan for Thursday, 11^th March is as follows

Session 1 – Numeracy

New Waves Mental Maths – Pg 17 (Thur).  I will post the answers on Thursday afternoon.

Multiplying by 4 interactive game. Play any of the games to practise your 4 times tables.

Mental Maths strategy – multiplying using the commutative law.  This means that you can multiply numbers in any order. So, 5 x 7 = 35 and 7 x 5 = 35.  Watch the YouTube video then complete the quiz

Subtracting HTU’s sheet 3 (word problems)  – (watch the video, complete sheet and hand in) (Assignment)

Session 2 – Literacy.

Spellings – more ea words.  Complete spelling list and cryptograms. 

Grammar – Abstract Nouns. Continuing on from our work on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Guided Reading – I will be doing live lessons on Thursday .  I’ve written your reading times down below. 

Tinmen and Scarecrows –  Pg 19 - 22 and workbook Pg 12 (Stuff and Nonsense Book @ 12.00 noon.

Lions – Pg 9 – 15  and workbook pages 12  (Through the years) @ 10.00am

The Munchkins – Pg 29 - 32  (Animals Book) @ 10.45am

The Flying Monkeys – Pg 2 - 9 workbook pg 12 (City Life and Snowy Days) @ 11.15am

Session 3 – British Science Week (Making play dough)

I will send you information on how to make your own play dough.  There will be a short YouTube video to watch and this will explain the chemistry behind making the play dough along with instructions on how to make it.  I hope you enjoy this experiment 😊

PE – make sure to do some PE on Thursday🤸🏻‍♂️🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️⛹🏻‍♀️🏌️‍♂️🏃‍♂️🤾🏾‍♂️
