P5M - Learning using food
P5M have been finding out about the Mesolithic period in history. For TWAU, the children have been finding out about fossils and how they have to be excavated very carefully. The children recently carried out an experiment using chocolate chip cookies. The children had to be palaeontologists and ‘excavate’ the chocolate chips (fossils) without damaging them. The children had great fun but the best bit was eating the chocolate chip cookies once they had finished the experiment 😊🤩
in numeracy, P5M have been learning about fractions and equivalent fractions. We recently used Milky Way chocolate bars to find out about halves and quarters. I think the best part of the numeracy lesson was eating the chocolate once the lesson was finished 😍
