P4O Tasks for Tuesday 16 March 2021

15th Mar 2021

Hello boys and girls. It’s Tuesday. Don’t forget that we are not at school tomorrow as it is St. Patrick’s Day ☘️. This means no online tasks, so enjoy yourselves. Hope you remembered to wear something green today and to send me a picture of yourself.

These are your tasks for today. Remember to upload your finished work so I can view it and give you some feedback. Don’t forget to send me a sentence about what it means to be part of an Integrated school.

Have a good day and enjoy tomorrow β˜˜οΈπŸ˜€

Literacy

In your New Wave English in practice booklet, complete Day 17. Only do Day 17 today.

Today we are focussing Guided Reading πŸ“– Have a look on the timetable for today and see which book or chapter πŸ“šyour group have to read. Once you have read your book or chapter, discuss what you have read with the adult who has listened to you. Once you have done this, take from your learning pack, the task for this piece of Guided Reading. When you answer your questions remember to use full sentences, capital letters and full stops. Remember to make sure your handwriting is neat and well presented. Read over your answers to ensure they make sense and are answering the question.

Once you have completed your Guided Reading task then you have an opportunity to continue learning and testing yourself on your weekly spellings which you received on Monday.

Remember to upload your work so I can view it and give you some feedback.

Numeracy

In your learning pack you will find your mental maths workbook. Complete Tuesday’s tasks for the fourth week.

As we know we are looking at money. We are looking at the coins we use and how we can use our addition, subtraction and multiplication skills that we have been learning this year and apply them to money.

Remember we only have the following coins in our currency or money 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2.

Today we are going to focus on values up to 20p using 10p, 5p, 2p and 1p. In your Money booklet 2, select page  54 (Shopping with 20p). This will be completed on your worksheet. In this task you have to find the cost of two different birds and your change from 20p. Read the questions carefully checking the cost of each bird.πŸ€” This will be completed on our worksheet. Read the questions carefully checking the cost of each bird.πŸ€”

Remember to upload your work so I can view it and give you feedback.

P.E.

Today we are going to workout with Joe Wicks’ P.E. Fitness programme. Have a look at last week’s video, which is last Friday’s (5 March) broadcast and see how you get on. I have put the link to the video, which is on YouTube, below. Remember that exercise is good for your fitness and both your physical and mental health. So click on the link, get fit and enjoyπŸƒ‍β™€οΈπŸƒ‍♂️

Diary

I would like you to complete a diary entry for today. Remember to date your entry and answer the following questions:

How do I feel today? What did I like doing? What’s the weather like? What is happening in the world today?

For the last question you will have to listen to the news or ask an adult.

Remember to upload your work so I can view it and give you feedback.
