P3EH notes for week beginning Monday 11th May 2020
Good afternoon boys and girls,
I hope you are all still keeping well and that you had a fun bank holiday weekend. Did you enjoy the celebrations for VE day? If you did anything nice to mark the occasion don’t forget to send me a picture. I would love to see all that you have been up to! I am still missing you terribly and would love to hear your news. I really hope we can go back to school soon to have more fun and laughs together. Did you see the video we as a staff made to tell you we miss you? If not, definitely check it out on our website and facebook pages. Hopefully it will make you smile like it made me smile!
This week if you are able to, I would like you to continue to focus on the work you have been doing within your workpack and also catch up on anything you might not have completed from last week. To add to our minibeast topic you might like to complete your KWL sheet which I have attached and stick it into your World Around Us book and when you are outside you could maybe make a minibeast hotel for those minibeasts you have been hunting for. You never know, maybe you’ll attract some you haven’t yet found and don’t worry if you don’t have all the materials. Just use what you have and don’t forget to send me some pictures please.
Within Literacy, you should still have plenty of comprehensions to complete within your comprehension pack and hopefully you can still continue to write your daily lockdown diary each day. This week we would be on the final week of Jolly Grammar 1 and list 36 the ‘aw’ sound. Jolly Grammar this week is revision of nouns, verbs, pronouns, and adjectives. Some of you this might be a little bit tricky so do ask mummy or daddy or any older siblings to help you with it if you need to. Please remember to also keep reading every day!
Within Numeracy you should hopefully now have reached the story of 20 and please continue to do a little bit of the tens and ones partitioning booklet when you can. In mental maths you should be starting pg 62/63 this week and I hope you have been able to complete some of your Heinemann booklets also. Don’t forget to keep challenging yourself each day regarding your mental maths and keep practicing your counting and addition and subtraction also. There are lots of little literacy and numeracy games on websites such as twinkl, topmarks, bbc bitesize and crickweb to keep you busy.
Have you still been keeping active each day? I hope you have. If so, don’t forget to check out the sustrans activities and challenges that are posted on our website every Monday and hopefully you are aware of the virtual sports day which we are participating in. If you want to take part you can find all the details on our facebook page.
As always don’t forget to take time each day to rest, relax and enjoy the things you love. Remember if you have any questions or concerns, you can always email me on the school email address which is info@braidsideintegratedps.ballymena.ni.sch.uk. Please also remind your mummies and daddies that there is a remote learning survey for them to complete if they wish to do so, Again details can be found on our website and facebook pages.
In the meantime please have fun and stay safe. Missing you always, lots of love from Mrs Horan.
