Mid & East Antrim Council P6/P7 Students Summer Transfer Bootcamp

5th Jun 2024

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council are working with Department for the Economy on the Multiply NI Programme, funded by UK Government to enhance the numeracy skills of the adult population (19+ who have <GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths).  The Multiply initiative holds great promise in advancing critical math skills and numeracy knowledge and we are hoping that through a collaborative approach we can maximise the impact of these interventions for MEA residents.

The transfer test or transition to secondary school can be challenging and our workshops will engage the parents of P6/P7 students seeking to support their children’s learning journey, equipping them with practical strategies and resources.

Numerasee will deliver a 4-day interactive workshop series, 29 July – 1 August 2024, designed to engage parents and children through a mix of hands-on activities, real-world applications of math concepts and open discussions to strengthen foundational skills and build confidence in approaching more complex math.  A comprehensive toolkit will be provided to each parent-child pairing and a dedicated digital learning system will be custom built for project participants ongoing learning and reinforcement.

Parents can register their interest at multiply@midandeastantrim.gov.uk
