Inov8 at Cullybackey College
We had a great day at Cullybackey College on Friday 12th January.
We saw and took part in a chemical reaction workshop with W5, before building our own catapults in Technology & Design.
The W5 workshop gave us a chance to see neutralising and combustion reactions using acids and bases. It was both messy and ‘dangerous’. Lots of the experiments were repeatable at home (with adult supervision).
In the Technology and Design department, we were challenged to build our own catapults as part of a team using lollypop sticks and a glue gun. After we had planned, built and tested our catapults, we tested them against each other.
Thanks to Cullybackey College for the invite to a great morning.
