EA Communication re Planned Industrial Action

The Education Authority (EA) has warned of expected disruption to some school services as a result of a notified strike by Unite the Union from Thursday 15th June to Friday 23rd June 2023 inclusive.
EA are working with schools, youth services and partners to minimise any disruption to children and young people caused by the industrial action. However, despite this, there will be disruption to some services, at this stage they anticipate that the impact is likely to be most significant across some transport and catering services.
It is anticipated that there will be an impact on a number of Special Schools, as regular transport for children may not be available, and there may also be a number of Classroom Assistants, who are Unite members, taking part in the industrial action.
