Creating a music score to accompany a Volcanic Eruption clip.
This task required us to create a digital piece of music πΉπΌπΆ using Chrome Music Lab on the laptops.
Mrs Fulton had selected a video clip of a volcano erupting. π We watched all the different stages of the explosion, noting the speed, the movement and sounds. We then chose a certain part of the explosion to accompany with music - this was kept a secret!
We set to work. π» It took a good bit of tinkering before we really knew what we were doing. We, in groups, showcased our completed score and then the class had to decide/ guess which part of the clip our music was to accompany! We were excellent at guessing correctly! π
We wrote evaluations of our activity - the steps and procedures, the learning curves and problems encountered! We were frustrated π€ at the start, but we learned resilience π and the importance of keeping going!
Showcasing πͺπ·π₯πΈour music to the rest of the class and then playing it alongside the video clip was epic!
Perhaps we could be film editors in the future? π¬π½οΈπ₯ποΈ
