AQE/ GL Update: 2nd Sept 2020

Dear parents,

Schools received information this afternoon from AQE and PPTC with regard to the transfer tests for P7 in this academic year.

This most recent update notes the following:

  • GL Assessment will now hold its Entrance Assessment on Saturday 30th January 2021. It is planned that results will be posted to parents on Friday 5th March 2021. 
  • The GL supplementary test will take place on Saturday 6th February 2021.
  • Any parent who has completed a registration form for GL does not need to complete a new one. All existing registrations remain valid.
  • The AQE assessments will now take place on Saturday 9th, 16th and 23rd January 2021. Results will be issued to parents on Saturday 6th March 2021.
  • Closing date for AQE registrations will now move further to Friday 9th October 2020.
  • AQE have also decided to add an additional 10 minutes to the time given to the candidate for each of the three papers.
