Activities for P5M, Tuesday, 19th January 2021

Hi P5M,

I hope Monday went well for everyone.  Remember to check on TEAMS for Monday’s answers for New Wave Maths and spelling wordsearch.

Today’s activities will be -

Session 1 - Numeracy

• New Waves Maths, pg4, Tuesday section (Answers will be posted on TEAMS on Tuesday afternoon)
• HTU’s - 2 sheets.  Please log into TEAMS for more details and to watch the explanation video.  If you are using TEAMS and have notebook installed you will be able to write straight onto the sheets without having to print them out. Please send this work to me to mark.

Break

Session 2 - Literacy 

• Handwriting Sheet 50
• Spellings, complete Tuesday’s column and crossword.  You don’t need to submit your work on spellings today.  There is a video on TEAMS to help with the crossword and I will post the answers on Tuesday afternoon. 
• Grammar.  This week we will be revising nouns.  Complete the next 2 pages in your grammar booklet on nouns.  Once you have done that complete the assignment sheet on Nouns and send to me.  Again, more information can be found on TEAMS along with an explanation video.
• Guided Reading - please read the attached PowerPoint on Christopher Columbus today instead of your reading book.  You will need this information for Today’s TWAU.

Session 3

• TWAU - today you will be carrying out your own research on Christopher Columbus.  The links I’ve included on TEAMS will help you.  Once you have your research done complete the cloze procedure on Christopher Columbus, then send me a photo of your completed sheet.  Please glue this sheet into your TWAU book, thank you. 😊
• Remember to check on TEAMS for the links for more information on Christopher Columbus.  One of the sites I recommended on TEAMS was BBC Bitesize - Christopher Columbus.  The Christopher Columbus sheet you will need is inside your pack.
