P3 EH Notes for Mon 4th May

5th May 2020
Hello again everyone,   Yet another week apart and I'm still missing you all SO very much. I hope you're all still keeping well and staying safe whilst keeping yourselves busy at home. I am a very busy bee taking care of Sienna. I'm currently helping her to learn how to walk and last Thursday she learnt to clap just in time for clap for carers. It was so cute! I hope you are still remembering to clap for carers each Thursday night. I wonder did any of you send Captain Tom a card for his 100th birthday? I was fascinated to see how many cards he received on the news and wondered if any of yours were among them. Sienna and I were looking out for ours too! I am sure that you still have lots of material to keep you busy in your work packs and I hope that you're still setting aside time each day to complete various tasks and keep up with your learning.  In Literacy this week you should be at list 35 the 'au' sound and the Jolly Grammar section 'of all about questions'.  I have also included a couple of comprehensions for you to complete this week which you will find attached. I hope you are still taking time each day to complete some writing. Maybe instead of your weekly news you could write a daily diary to document your thoughts and feelings during this time for you to look back on in the future. I miss hearing all of your stories each Monday and I can't wait to hear all when we return to school again. Don't forget to keep reading. I have been enjoying reading in my garden in this lovely weather and I wonder if any of you have too? Don't forget to send me some pictures. With regards to your numeracy work I hope you are still taking time each day to practice your mental maths booklet and by now you should have maybe reached the story of 19 and finished the blue Heinemann booklet? Don't forget to keep going with the tens and ones partitioning booklet and remember there are lots of little numeracy challenges on the key stage one sections of bbc bitesize and twinkl for you to complete. This Friday 8th May is a very special day called VE day. It stands for Victory in Europe day and is the day which marked the end of the second world war in Europe after six long years. Friday would have been a school holiday for us but maybe sometime this week you might like to explore this and do some work on it at home. Again I would love to see some of your work if you would like to send me some pictures please remember you can do so on the school email account which is info@braidsideintegratedps.Ballymena.ni.sch.uk. Finally remember to keep smiling and keep shining! Don't forget to make time each day to keep doing things that you love and most importantly take care of yourselves and your families. Missing you more with each passing week and can't wait to see you again, Mrs Horan.
